School Visits and Teacher Guide

Want me to visit your school?  Well, I’d be thrilled to come over!

I’m always happy to speak with students about a variety of topics, which can include how I get the ideas for my stories, how to plot a satisfying story, how to publish your own stories, and how to connect with readers.  Or we can just do a lively question & answer session. My visits are fun, interactive, and focused on getting students involved.

I believe that every student has a voice and a unique story (or two or three) to tell.  My goal is to encourage students to express their voice creatively in whatever manner they feel most comfortable.  I have an engaging program for large assemblies and/or smaller classroom workshops.

It’s certainly easier to arrange a visit if your school is in the Tri-state area (CT, NY, NJ), which is the area where I live, but if you’re farther away we still have options!  Sometimes, an actual visit can be scheduled – or we can always arrange for a school visit on Skype or FaceTime.
